Angela Friedman A/W 2013

When Angela Friedman showed me a sneak preview of her Autumn/Winter range way back in April, I was, for lack of a better word, awestruck. So many lingerie labels adopt the word "luxury" into their brandspeak, but very few actually convey that refined, elegant, timeless sense of opulence luxury lingerie really gives you (or at least should give you). Angela Friedman's latest collection is very obviously vintage-inspired, but it doesn't feel derivative; she's made classic silhouette feel new again. And as someone who's been a fan of her work for years, let me just say I'm happy to see that Ms. Friedman hasn't left her corsetry roots behind. Most of the pieces in the collection are available in sizes XS through L or XL. In addition, true made-to-order custom sizing is available for all garments, and all items shown below in black are also available in white (and vice versa). “Refined, elegant, timeless” indeed. Do you know if any of the Seattle-area boutiques may carry any of it?

Wow, lovely collection! So many pieces I could see myself in, thanks for sharing :)

Ooof! Man, that is some gorgeous drape on the robe. Count me in as being a sucker for anything sheer and black. STUNNING! I agree, the white chemise is bridal AND sexy. It’s so hard finding bridal that isn’t overly tacky or girlish. BEAUTIFUL!!

OMG those slips and robes are gorgeous. The subtle details, the wonderful drape… absolutely wonderful.

  5. Suheiry says:

I love it all, especially the floor-length satin slip. It seems perfect for lounging in in the wee evening hours sipping red wine. :)

  6. Thursday says:

Ah, sheer black things, such a weakness…the robe and the bralet set are lovely. Also digging the simplicity of that black slip. They do translate very nicely into white, too.

  7. I love this collection! The white lace slip is one of my favorites– so classic, bridal and very slightly provocative.
