Chromat Swimwear S/S 2013

Cross Back Suit

As much as a I love that classic, femme, pinup aesthetic, I’ve recently become more and more enamored of lingerie (and swimwear!) with a bit of an edge. I’m talking straps everywhere, and no lace (or the color pink) anywhere. I’m a big believer in the notion that there are many ways of being feminine, and I love that indie designers are taking risks and pushing the boundaries of what’s “acceptable.” While I don’t know if I’d be gutsy enough to wear any of these suits, I am glad that someone’s making them. Chromat swimwear starts around $250, and is available in sizes S-L.

These are the kinds of swimsuits I’ve been looking for! I love the look of multiple straps all over.

Putting some of those with a skirt for clubbing would be pretty awesome.

I love those swimsuits! They remind me a lot of a bra + knicker + suspenders set I just got at intimissimi on a trip to London. I like the edginess of the straps.
