Luxxie Boston isn’t a brand I’ve heard of before, but I’m already quite in love. The initial collection is small, consisting exclusively of silk gowns, chemises and robes that could easily double as outerwear. However, I believe there’s something to be said for focus. In an era where every brand tries to do a little of everything, I admire a company for picking a niche and sticking with it. Luxxie Boston’s silk lingerie feels like that for me.
I thought about including this Prickly Pear Embroidered Bralette in our Autumn/Winter bra roundup, but it’s so much fun and so unique (and also doesn’t have a matching knicker), that I felt it was better showcased in a blog post of its own. I honestly don’t remember where I first ran across Birds and Beestings embroiderery work. It may have been in one of those recommended Instagram post or as […]
It’s the first day back after a long weekend, and you’re probably in the middle of doing a bunch of stuff, so let’s get the important details out of the way first. Oh La La Cheri’s Romantic Fantasy Eyelash Lace Romper is fun, flirty, doesn’t take itself too seriously, is available up to a 4X, and costs under $42.
I don’t know about you, but I love the idea of a mesh dress. Obviously, it’s perfect for outerwear as part of a layered look, but a sheer dress is also excellent as lay-around-the house loungewear. Universal Standard’s Thames Fog Dress is a recent discovery, but I’m already plotting how it’d look in my wardrobe. The black or plum would be great paired with a more opaque slip or chemise […]
I had the chance to preview Fantasy’s upcoming collections at this year’s International Lingerie Show, and immediately fell in love with the ensemble featured. There’s this idea that budget-friendly lingerie brands can only do the super-skimpy, super-sexy things, and while that’s fine, variety is good too. I love this teddy and skirt pairing because it’s soft and romantic and comes in a shade you rarely see in lingerie…a kind of dusty, heathery purple. If teddies aren’t your thing, there’s also a longline bra and panty option (though I’m still a strong advocate for buying that tulle skirt).
