Lust Objects: Trashy Diva Flapper Robe

I haven’t stopped by Trashy Diva in awhile. I have a couple of their camisoles, and one of their dresses (a truly lovely silk wrap style from several seasons ago), but their sizing tends to be too large in the bust and too small in the shoulders for me. Everything’s gorgeous, but I’m not their target customer…which is perfectly okay, of course, since everyone has different body types.

My point though, is that this week’s lust object might turn me into a Trashy Diva customer after all. I ran across the stellar “Flapper Robe” on Pinterest, and I literally gasped aloud. I mean…how gorgeous is this thing? The embroidery. That (hand-knotted) fringe. The oh-so-on-target-it-hurts vintage aesthetic of it all. I’m in love. The only thing I can’t decide is if I want to wear it around the house, or if I want to show it off out of doors.

Trashy Diva’s Flapper Robe retails for $264.00 and is available from the Trashy Diva website. It’s currently in pre-order and will be available to ship starting January 30th. What do you think? Is this robe lust list worthy? I don’t know about you, but I sincerely¬† hope this is the first of an entire Trashy Diva-designed lingerie range.

I’m very much at the top limit of TD’s size range, but was very glad I stopped by their stores when visiting NOLA last year. I splashed out on the Trixie dress in rocket print and am so glad I did. They have such a lovely vintage aesthetic. I was a bit disappointed to visit their lingerie store in the Quarter though, as, nice as the labels stocked were, a lot of it was the common brands I’d seen in every other North American boutique. The collection wasn’t as focused on the same vintage vibe, which was a surprise, I suppose, given their dress and shoe boutiques. But I agree, this robe is gorgeous!

I ALSO gasped aloud. It’s seriously so, so amazing. I just ordered a dress from Trashy Diva, but if it doesn’t work out I’m seriously considering using my store credit for this robe. I also hope they consider doing a whole line of lingerie or boudoir fashions! I can see bed jackets and slips and stockings and robes …

Gorgeous! I think it’s both lust- AND splurge-worthy. Will you get it?

so so TOTALLY lust-worthy! that robe is the most beautiful robe i have ever seen. i’m a 1920′s fanatic, so it’s definitely right up my alley! i love the Trashy Diva trio of stores in NOLA. I agree with the first commentor though, that it was surprising that the TD lingerie boutique didn’t seem as focused on the vintage vibe. Their shoe store though…. oh man, i could live in there.

My bank balance was very lucky I couldn’t fit shoes in my suitcase!
