Ava Corsetry A/W 2013

Ava Corsetry is a new lingerie brand out of the UK, and, as the name suggests, the designer Danielle Cowan specializes in corsets. However, she also has some perfectly lovely pieces of  lingerie sprinkled among this first collection, and you may even recognize the sheer half slip from Catherine’s report on Mode City Paris from earlier this year. While I’ll always love a good corset, I have to admit the sheer mesh chemise and half slip are my favorite pieces. However, in terms of amazing theatricality, nothing compares to those black panniers.

Ava Corsetry’s corsets retail from £139.90 ($225.71) for a basic waspie to £189.95 ($306.33) for a sweetheart overbust. Corsets are sized for waists measuring 20″ to 28″. The Lola Chemise and Skirt will retail for £40 ($64.51) and £32 ($51.63), respectively, while the panniers will retail for £90 ($145.21). Sizes for all three items are S, M, L. Custom, bespoke, and bridal orders are also available.
