I won't lie...the $500+ Lingerie Shopping Guide is always my most favorite one to do. Even though I can't afford a single, solitary thing on this list, I like looking, imagining that someday, somehow fantasy where I have the disposable income to spend a month's rent or so on a nightgown.
Speaking of nightgowns, while the usual floor length satin gowns and feather-trimmed tulle robes are here, I also went in search of pieces with a bit more of an edge. Items you might even be able to call kinky. After all, luxury doesn't necessarily equate to "demure," and if you have the money to burn, why not go for something a little off the metaphorical beaten path?
While our $500+ Shopping Guide does suffer from some of the same sizing limitations as the $250-$499 guide, the good news is that there are custom designers on this list. Angela Friedman, for example, is a skilled corsetiere and lingerie designer who is able to create individualized patterns for her clients. Other indie designers may also be able to offer a similar service, though, of course, you always want to inquire directly for details.
