Lingerie Art: Watercolors by San Sigüenza

One of the better perks of being on social media (aside from having another way to interact with TLA readers) is discovering new things. New brands, new artists, new models, new photographers... anything new in the intimate apparel industry is probably popping up on Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest months (if not years) before it'll ever make a mainstream appearance in a magazine or trade journal. And I love this. I love that barrier of entry to new fans and new customers (and, hopefully, new stockists) is so low. I l0ve that there's a way for people taking risks and making innovations to thrive.

I first found these watercolors through Tumblr, and I loved them so much, I asked the artist, San Sigüenza, if we could republish them here on TLA. Thankfully, he said yes, and now you can see them too. I'm no artist, and I'm certainly not an art critic, but these paintings really resonate with me (especially the Catwoman piece). I want them on my wall right now, and I want to see San Sigüenza do more like them. Lingerie pieces shown are by Lascivious, I.D. Sarrieri, and William Wild Latex (among others). All artwork is for sale and is currently being sold at Niki Schwan (though I think you can contact the artist directly as well). You can also follow San Sigüenza on Instagram.

What do you think of these watercolors? Do you love them as much as I do?
