Myla Lingerie A/W 2013

Myla Lingerie

Luxury lingerie can sometimes feel like a bit of a lottery. It's really expensive, for one, which means it's supposed to be good quality, but we all know that's not always the case. And there's nothing more disappointing than realizing you've paid a bunch of money for a brand name - and not much else.

Fortunately, I don't think that's true for Myla Lingerie. I purchased several of their bras way, way back (when I was a brand new lingerie addict). Not only did they fit beautifully, they've lasted for years (I still own one!).

I've also had the opportunity to view their collections in-person during Lingerie Market and thought they were wonderful. Myla is famous for their exquisite use of lace, and lately, they've been pushing their collections in a more provocative direction (which lines up with where a lot of the luxury lingerie industry is heading right now).

What do you think of their A/W 2013 line? And have you tried this brand before?

This collection strikes me as being mostly composed of silhouettes and textures other brands have been doing, and doing better. Usually I quite enjoy Myla’s aesthetic but this feels like they’ve lost the delicate sumptuousness that usually appeals to me. Only the two tone blue ensemble feels authentic – and so appeals most to me.

The two tone blue slip and robe in the last image have a futuristic vibe that i am enjoying.
