New 2012/2013 Hosiery from Gerbe!

Gerbe just sent over their new 2012/2013 lookbook, and I’m smitten. As some of you know, I started blogging as Stockings Addict, so hosiery will always hold a special place in my heart, and I love how Gerbe constantly comes out with new patterns, colors, and designs every season. Below are a few of my favorites. The new styles will be available starting July 1st.

Lyrique Lace Leggings

Paris by Night Tights

Parisienne Thigh Highs

Nymphia Tights

As a guy, I blame it on all the cheesy movies In the early eighties that had women dressed in stockings (bachelor party, ski patrol) for my attraction for hold-ups and stockings. The problem is though since Levee went bankrupt there really isn’t a true plus size hosiery company out there. My wife is 6’2″ with a 37in inseam and wears a size 18. We wish someone would step up and fill that void. Nylonica seems to be trying but they only carry the stockings in the larger sizes and my wife really likes the hold-up though. Hope they start making them soon.

Tim, have you looked at the hosiery available at Hips & Curves? I haven’t tried any of it myself (yet!), but they do have a decent range of sizes. I’m not a hold-ups fan, but I think they have some.

I have heavier thighs and have found most “hold-ups” roll at the top. Any suggestions?

You need to get thigh highs that are sized a bit larger. If they’re cheap or one-size-fits-all, the elastic is rolling because it’s too small.
