Spring/Summer 2019 Mini-Trend: Iris Lingerie

I've mentioned before - and this is still true - that sometimes I write posts or share photos to the blog primarily to help my own memory. Sometimes I feel the need to take note of a trend or a direction, not necessarily because other people are invested in that trend, but because I think it's worth remembering. I've noticed a bit of Iris print this season, and, though a small trend, it's one I'd like to keep in mind for the future.

Interestingly, 2 out of 3 of the designers working with irises this season are luxury brands, and not just luxury, but loungewear. A bold print like irises lends itself well to a large canvas.

Funnily enough, while working on this post and checking my links, I just realized one of the prints - the one from the non-loungewear brand, Sculptresse by Panache - is actually tulips, not irises. But I think I'll keep it in here anyway as it has a similar vibe or mood to both iris prints.

Purple was a big trend in general this season, with lots of designers featuring pale, pastel shades of lilac - a color I don't recall seeing all that often.

Regardless, this is a post that's more for posterity's sake than anything else. I hope you like it.
