The sale lingerie of the week feature returns with my all-time favorite lingerie material... sheer black mesh. I feel like, at some point, I should write an article exploring my love of all things black and sheer. After all, I talk about it all the time.
But for today, let's just say that I've been visiting this bodysuit since December, and I was ecstatic to see that it was on sale (yes, I visit the items I covet... I'm a bit obsessed).
Marika Vera is an independent luxury label based out of Mexico, a country that's rather underrepresented when it comes to lingerie brands. Their Queen of the Galaxy collection from 2012 was stellar (no pun intended), and after laying low for a few seasons, I'm pleased to see that Marika Vera has returned with a new, lower-priced diffusion line.
I already thought these pieces were incredibly affordable, but on sale, they're basically a steal. The Moss Body Tulle, today's featured item, originally retailed for $50.00 and is now selling for $33.00. And if bodysuits aren't your thing, there's also an oversized mesh t-shirt version of this (perfect for summer, maybe?) on sale for $30.00.
I have to say... I hope the massive sale combined with the lack of a new editorial collection doesn't presage bad things. It's harder than ever before for a luxury brand to make it, but I definitely want to see what Marika Vera comes out with next.
