Marika Vera A/W 2012 – “Queen of the Galaxy”

We’ve been fans of Marika Vera here at The Lingerie Addict ever since we first saw her debut collection in 2011. Not only did our columnists Holly and Karolina both think she was a designer to watch, she also made our Best Lingerie of 2011 list as “Best New Brand.”

Marika’s ultra-luxe lingerie sophisticated, sexy, and intensely seductive. And I’m glad to see that she’s only gotten better with her new collection, “Queen of the Galaxy,” which introduces both new silhouettes and new colors to Vera’s design palette. This, my friends, is what luxury lingerie should be about.

All Marika Vera lingerie is handmade. Most of her pieces are constructed from 100% silk chiffon or 100% silk satin, and the size range is S, M, L with the option for custom and made-to-measure orders available for those who’d prefer smaller or larger.

What do you think of Queen of the Galaxy?

I’m true love with “Sam”. I might just need to pick that up.

Those June knickers are very nice.

It LOOKS like it lives up to its name! I want June and Selene- Sue looks like it’d be such a hassle. I’m not familiar with her workmanship if it would live up to its name once in person, but I do trust the blog and damn, it looks fine. Phoebe and Barbarella, too….

  7. Catherine says:

    Wow. I love these :)

  8. Holly says:

So pretty! That Valentina set shall be mine. Love her influences this season, although I loved her collection last season too.

  9. AmorFati says:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE some of these pieces such as Sue and Selene and Sam. However teddies like the Barbarella (which I totally understand are an homage to a little bit of a 70’s retro cut) just don’t quite work for me. But I’m not a fan of anything 60’s-70’s era when it comes to fashion…
