Dottie’s Delights F/W 2013: The Sweet Gwendolyn Collection

After years of hovering just off the radar, Stephanie Kuhr of Dottie’s Delights had a major break last winter with her Bricolage collection, which enamored press and retailers alike. Winter must suit Stephanie well, since her upcoming A/W range, The Sweet Gwendolyn Collection, is just as strong as last year’s line. Inspired by the vintage fetish illustrator, John Willie, this collection is a bit darker, and brings to mind film noir, mid-century burlesque and, of course, Bettie Page. My two favorite looks are the Zig Zag pieces, which will be available beginning in August and September, with the red silk, gold lace, and other items debuting in October/November. What do you think of Sweet Gwendolyn? Are you as in love with the zig zag mesh as I am?

Gah, these are stunning. Love the mid-century fetish feel, but with an updated look.

Oh, god, I just love everything. The chevron body and everything from this last photo, specially. When I thought Dottie’s Delight couldn’t be any better… <3
