Nordstrom's annual anniversary sale is in full swing, and that makes it a great time to stock up on lingerie basics. For those that've never heard of it, Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is when Fall/Winter items are marked down at the beginning of the season (as opposed to the end). Intimates aside, this is usually when I buy items like sweatshirts, sweaters, and jackets...the sort of things I know I'm going to need in just a few months time.
The intimate apparel section of the sale is a bit different than ready to wear because lingerie is inherently seasonless (yes, I know it officially has seasons, but no one's bra is "out of date" just because it was bought a few months ago). Classic underwear staples like the Natori Feathers Bra or the Hanky Panky Classic Thong are reduced. And I don't just mean the fashion color; every color, including the basics, is on sale (and you know how rarely that sort of thing happens).
Anniversary Sale ends Monday, August 3rd, and after that all prices go up. As always, Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns (some of the easiest returns in the industry in fact), so if there's something you've been wanting to try, now's a great time to give it a go.
