Make It An Endless Summer with Figleaves Swimwear!

I have to confess. I was a just a little bit hesitant when Figleaves first approached me about doing a swimwear campaign.

Don’t get me wrong. I love the idea of swim. But, well, it’s been a long time I’ve been on vacation (or even to a beach or pool). And even when I think my plans might include a bit of waterside fun, I’m more likely to wear a sundress over a bathing suit (or just the sundress alone) these days.

But you never expand your horizons unless you're willing to try new things. So when Figleaves offered me few bra-sized swimsuits as a gift...well, how could I say no?

Listen, y'all. Now I'm officially a convert.

I never thought of bra-sized swimwear as something that was particularly relevant to me. My usual bra size is well within what we in the industry call "core" sizing (that is, cup sizes B-D and band sizes 32-36). So I thought almost anything from a bandeau to a basic tank was just fine.

Therefore, imagine my surprise and amazement at how well Figleaves' swimsuits fit. I wasn't expecting to notice much difference, but I felt supported. Contained. Comfortable. All the things I never thought I might need or want from a swimsuit. (Even the strapless styles didn't budge!!)

I think sometimes, there's this idea that bra-sized swimwear has to be boring. Well, not at Figleaves. I don't know what I thought I would find when I visited their curated selection, but there were so many bright colors and styles available. No matter whether you wear a G cup or a B cup, a size 6 or a size 26, there's a beautiful, bra-sized swimsuit just for you.

That said, we've all experienced the frustration of falling in love with a swimsuit only to have it discontinued. Or loving a particular silhouette and wishing it came in a different pattern or print.

Well, Figleaves understands that, and they not offer the same silhouettes from season to season, they even offer different colors and prints with the same silhouette within the same season. That means, if you fall in love with a particular swimsuit this year, you can get the same fit and support you like in a new color or pattern this year, next year, and even the year after that!

I’ve been struggling a bit with body image issues lately (which I’m sure factored into my decision to mostly try one-pieces), but I loved these. I loved how they fit and how they felt and I absolutely want to take one or two (or six) on my next summer vacation.

Do you have a favorite look from the swimsuits I tried? And have you ever purchased swimwear from Figleaves before?
