2017 Ethically-Made Holiday Lingerie Gift Guide

Lingerie by Cristina Aielli

The retail industry is changing quickly and so many ethically-made lingerie lines are slowing production or shuttering completely because of it. It’s expensive to manufacture lingerie in a responsible way and many consumers don’t want to pay the higher rates, instead preferring to bargain shop with discount codes from budget apparel lines.

So, I’m not gonna lie. It wasn’t super easy to come up with a beautiful, nicely-sized, not-too-expensive, new-item-filled, holiday lingerie gift guide this year.

Yeah, maybe my standards for pretty, ethically-made underthings is high. But I don’t want to only show luxury items, and I don’t want to only advertise old faves. I want to showcase exciting holiday lingerie gifts for everyone on your list because it’s totally possible to buy ethically-made lingerie for anyone’s taste! From vintage-inspired satin sets and super ruffly panties to bodysuits that soothe your inner goth, you’ll find a gift in this guide for everyone on your list – no matter who they are.

For The Chic Minimalist:

Bows? No thanks. Clean lines, simple patterns, and neutral colors are dying to fill up this recipient’s lingerie drawer. If they’re looking to upgrade from Calvin Klein and don’t want anything too fussy, a few of these might be the perfect gift.

For The Pastel Princess:

With a love of ruffles, florals, and pale pastel shades, this recipient’s style means they’re practically begging to be gifted lingerie. Skip the frilly teddies at your local mall store and wrap up something super sweet that will really impress them.

For The Spooky Babe:

The section where everything is black and nothing hurts. From subtle goth-y shapes to over-the-top creepy motifs, this recipient knows what they like, but can be surprisingly hard to shop for. After all, how much black can one person own? Here are some unusually spooky suggestions.

For The Glam Bombshell:

They love that hourglass silhouette, those very particular vintage details, those rich retro colors. In classic style with a luxe twist, these gifts are more than just retro reproductions. They’re unique styles for a very unique recipient.

For The Luxury Lover:

What else is there to say? If you’re shopping for this person, you already know what you’re in for. The most luscious details, custom-made loungewear, and lingerie sets that might as well be art. These ethically-made items are our faves for luxury gifting this season.
