10 Essential Full Bust Bras

Rococo Charm Bra by Bravissimo

Rococo Charm Bra by Bravissimo

No matter how many bras you own, most lingerie lovers end up going back to four or five classics they just can’t get enough of. I’m the same way. Despite an overflowing lingerie drawer (or drawers), I find myself rewearing and replacing a few bras that really get the job done and make me feel great. If you haven’t found your holy grail bra yet, today’s post should help. I’ve collected all of the bras on the market right now that I think are truly great. While not every bra on this list will work for every person, there really is something for everyone. Almost all of these are regular styles for each company, which means you can buy these bras in basic neutrals or in fun fashion colors. If you fall in love with one, you can even stock up on previous colors. Most bras on this list range from $50 to $70, but you can always look for them on sale as well. To find out more about each bra, just click the picture or the name of the bra.

Jasmine Bra by Panache:

Size Range: 30D to 38K

This bra has taken the lingerie world by storm for a good reason: it’s wonderful. The stretch lace construction helps customize the fit, while the materials are strong and comfortable. It also provides great lift and a nice profile. If you need a neutral bra that goes under pretty much anything, this is where to start. The Envy comes in beige and black, while the Jasmine comes in a whole bunch of pretty fashion prints.

The Deco Bra by Freya:

Size Range: 28D to 38G

This is the holy grail bra of many women and the basis of the current Freya empire. The Deco creates great support and incredible cleavage, making it both seamless and sexy. It’s now been released in endless varieties of prints, patterns, and colors so you won’t have trouble finding one to fall in love with.

For plus size lingerie lovers, the closest equivalent out there to the Deco is the Elomi Bijou. It’s not quite the same construction, but it’s similar enough that you’ll want one if you love the Deco and are sized out.

Beatrice Bra by Tutti Rouge:

Size Range: 28F to 38HH

I have fallen in love with all things Tutti Rouge, but the Beatrice is my favorite. This and the Satine bra are a very similar cut, with slight differences in construction. The Beatrice has a less soft construction, which to me means more structure and shape. I also don’t fall out the middle like I do in many plunges. This is my miracle bra that goes under everything. It’s also the bra I’ve recommended the most to friends personally this year.

Satine Bra by Bravissimo:

Size Range: 28DD to 38J

These bras are low cut, comfortable, and come in lovely colors and prints. They do run small and might not have enough structure for people with softer breast tissue, but if the Satine works for you then you will fall in love for life.

Alana Bra by Bravissimo:

Size Range: 28FF to 40L

This bra is a great basic, but it’s also on this list due to sizing. The Alana is one of the few bras that goes up to an L cup! If you’re at the higher end of the full bust cup size range, this is a great one to try out.

Rococo Charm Bra by Bravissimo:

Size Range: 28DD to 38G

I’ve discovered Bravissimo’s half cup bras recently, although they’ve been a staple of the brand for years. I absolutely adore them. They have great support, look amazing under low necklines, and are far more comfortable than you’d imagine them to be. Try this one, the Mademoiselle or the Demi Diva.

Carmen Longline Bra by Curvy Kate:

Size Range: 28D to 36D

There are still primarily two longlines on the full bust market: this one and the Elomi version. While it was hard to pick one, I think most people will end up preferring the Carmen (although the Elomi one works better for me). The styling is lovely, it produces a great push up effect, and the whole set is really stunning.

Betty Bra by Elomi:

Size Range: 34HH through 36DD

Another staple plunge bra here, this time from Elomi. If you need an everyday bra, this one is perfect. While it isn’t as low cut as either the Satine or the Beatrice, it does have the same support as a bra like the Jasmine. The retro styling looks great on everyone as well.

The Panache Sports Bra:

Size Range: 28H to 40GG

The Panache Sports Bra continues to dominate the market, again, for good reasons. This bra is the creme de la creme of full bust sports bras. I know some people who love them so much they wear them as everyday bras or as sleep bras.

Ginger Macaroon Bra by Cake Lingerie:

Size Range: 32J to 40J

Ginger Macaroon Bra by Cake Lingerie:
Even if you’re not pregnant, Cake Lingerie deserves a mention here for those who are sensitive to bras and wires. It’s hard to find a good underwired bra if you have health issues that make wearing a traditional bra difficult, but the flexible wire bras by Cake are a great substitute. I love this as a sleep bra or a weekend bra, but it’s supportive enough that it would work as an everyday bra too if you have sensitive skin or issues wearing regular underwires.

Hi your sizing on the Elomi Betty is wrong as goes above 36DD

  2. Brittney says:

I have been on the hunt for a wire free (at least no under wire) bra that’s flattering and comfortable for ages. Any ideas? I’m a 38 DD/E in most bras. I think that something retro, perhaps the Liz bra from WKD might be the one…. Help!

  3. Ellen says:

Agreed, regarding the Deco/Bijou. I’d add the Clara to the Panache lineup, along with Cleo’s Lucy. Also, I’d add Elomi’s Lexi, which has done phenomenally, as it has the plunge of the Betty but a stretch lace that accomodates the fullness and movement of a larger cup size.

  4. Jeanna says:

The Jasmine is my personal holy grail. I really just need to bite the bullet and buy a new one in the size I’m currently wearing.
