I’d run into VienneMilano stockings several times while browsing the internet, but I’d always assumed their range wouldn’t fit me. On paper, they’re the perfect stocking solution for lots of people. Their stockings are made from warm cashmere, silky soft microfiber and other luxe Italian materials. Despite their pedigree, most pairs of thigh highs run around $30. Luxurious, colorful and budget friendly? These stockings had my name on them.
After some consultation about sizing with VienneMilano, I picked out the CLAUDIA stockings in a deep purple color. These stockings are microfiber and have a little more stretch than some other pairs, so they were more likely to fit me. VienneMilano specializes in bright bold colors, so if purple isn’t your cup of tea there are lots of other colors and styles to pick from. These blue GIOIA stockings are definitely next on my list to try based on the color alone. The CLAUDIA stockings have a triple silicone band that is 2.2″ wide and are 50 denier, making them semi-sheer. If you’re a fan of really deep bands on your thigh highs, this band will definitely feel a bit more narrow.
My stockings came in a sturdy purple box, which is a thoughtful touch. I hate leaving stockings in wooden drawers where they might snag or stuffing them into a bag for protection. I wish all companies would pack their products like this — it keeps your stockings going longer and makes them easy to store when you take them off or wash them.
Apologies for the dusty floor: I’m getting ready to move 200 miles in several weeks and my house is pretty much moving box central right now. As you can see, the fit on these stockings is surprisingly great! I was a little nervous that the only sizes are small and large, but the large size seems like a good fit. These thigh highs are incredibly soft and comfortable and the band holds up nicely when walking around for long periods of time. I don’t feel like I have to keep tugging them up all the time, which is a problem I have with other more expensive brands of thigh highs. The silicone bands are very strong and feel like they’ll hold up well over time. I’ve worn these several times now and haven’t ripped them yet, so that’s probably a good sign of longevity.
As you can see, the fit isn’t always perfect after you walk in them. I’m in that weird size gap where I’m in between size ranges, so this is honestly the best fit I’ve gotten in a non-specialized brand. I’m slightly too small for lots of plus size brands, so I’m glad to add VienneMilano to my list of options. Despite the slight digging in when I move around, these pass my stockings test. I’ll definitely be buying more in the future.
I’m currently a size 12/14, so VienneMilano seems like a great possibility for in-betweenies to try out! If you’re confused or concerned about sizing, don’t hesitate to ask on social media. Their team seems really with it and was very honest about what would and wouldn’t work for me.
What do you think of VienneMilano stockings? Have you tried them?
