Boudoir Lingerie for Burlesque Dancers

I first mentioned LoveChild Boudoir almost a year ago, when her cute vintage redesigned girdles with the heart on the bum first caught my eye. A few months ago, I splurged and purchased one of her PVC bustle skirts which received rave reviews when I wore it to Dragon*Con.

Now, LoveChild Boudoir is setting my heart all aflutter again with her latest creations. These decadent designs are almost too lovely to confine to the bedroom alone; I may need to take a Burlesque class or three so I can show them off properly!

Lovechild Boudoir is currently selling her couture girdles, corselettes, bullet bras, and bustle skirts through e-bay and her personal website.

Lust!–Little Minx "Valentina" at La Magia

It’s love at first sight for this delightfully coquettish Little Minx bra set from La Magia. I’m still not quite sure what makes these pieces so irresistible. Is it the vivid aquamarine color? The flirty black lace? Perhaps the classic retro styling? Whatever the case, I simply can’t get this lingerie out of my head.

Total cost for the bra, panty, and garter belt is a very palatable £58.65 (or $93 USD) once you activate the 15% off discount code PINK123. Plus, don’t forget that La Magia ships free to anywhere in the world. With Christmas only two months away, this is a bit of European finery worth saving up for.

Review: Black Milk Leggings

I. Love. These. Leggings.

If you don’t read anything else in this article, at least now you know that James Lillis’ shiny tights ROCK, and you should go buy his stuff immediately.

I’ve worn the Black Spartans a few times to 80′s night at the local disco, and not only do the leggings look great, not only do they feel great, I always, always get mad compliments on them.

You already know this leggings trend has been going on for a few seasons, but until now I’ve been afraid to indulge. See, I have what my friends back home call an “apple bottom.” My booty is, for lack of a better word, rotund. Most leggings simply couldn’t accommodate my shape.

A few months after I’d all but given up hope, I found Too Many Tights (James’s blog) through Stockingirl. Back then, James mostly posted photos of other people’s work, but every once in awhile he’d sneak in some of his own designs. After awhile, it became apparent that Black Milk was like nothing else on the market.

Still, I hesitated. After all, James lives in Australia and I live in Seattle. The only people I saw wearing his tights on the blog were women who were considerably more “modelesque” than me. I e-mailed James with my concerns (and my measurements), and he custom fit my leggings to my ample derriere. Not just that,he even e-mailed me a few weeks later to make sure the fit was right.

Factor in that he keeps coming up with unique, innovative, drop-dead-sexy designs and, in my opinion, James Lillis can do no wrong. I’m just glad that I bought something before he really takes off.

P.S. If the designs aren’t for you, Black Milk also produces basic, “wet look” leggings. At only $40 (and free shipping!!!), they’re damn near a steal.

Dita von Teese for Wonderbra–Party Edition

The lovely and luscious Dita von Teese is back with her second collection for Wonderbra, and she’s calling this one the “Party Edition.” 2009′s collection not only brings back one of my favorites from 2008 (that high waisted suspender girdle is still a must-have item), it also features several new pieces. For more information on these limited edition ensembles, go to Dita’s Domain.

If you’d like to buy something, Asos, Figleaves and Sheer Nylons already have several pieces in stock. Last year, everything sold out within a month, so I’d recommend purchasing immediately if you’re interested.
