Introducing Inspire Psyche Terry: Romantic Lingerie in Sizes Small-4X
There’s a new size-inclusive lingerie line here to serve plus sizes and core sizes – and it doesn’t stop at size 20. Inspire Psyche Terry’s debut collection features beautiful lingerie in sizes Small – 4X. Embodying bold fearless passion in regal, romantic cuts, Inspire Psyche Terry brings classic silhouettes to a size-inclusive audience.
While Macy’s intends to stock the line after March 1st, customers can place pre-orders now on InspirePsycheTerry.com. I’m also excited to see them partner with powerhouse plus fashion blogger Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista. Everything I’ve seen so far is a promising start, and I hope the brand treats all sizes equally: offering all pieces in all sizes at the same price.
“I love how open and honest women are when it comes to lingerie,” Terry told me via email. “My name, Psyche, means soul and life, so I naturally care about women’s passions. After a few attempts at starting my own brand, I was determined to launch something regal and romantic with looks inspired by the origin of my name, the Greek goddess Psyche.”
The initial product demonstrations this Greek inspiration in action. Psyche, the Greek goddess of soul, represents love, ambition, fearlessness and perseverance for Terry. Those traits serve as the guiding force behind how Terry wants the wearer to feel. Price points are designed to be accessible, with individual items ranging from $36-$70.
My personal favorite piece is the Goddess Built-In Bralette Gown, shown below. The built-in bralette is something I haven’t seen before, and I love the length of the gown paired with the high slit. Right now, the gown only appears available up to an XL, but since this was one of the items worn by Denee, I hope to see sizing extended to the full range when items officially go on sale March 1st.
One important factor to note about Inspire Psyche Terry is the size chart. According to the brand’s size guide, a 4X is equivalent to a dress size 22/24. Those sizes usually equal a 3X, but the measurements given align with what most brands call a 4X or 26/28. Since this size is so often left out by plus size lingerie, I would love to see these items reviewed by someone who wears a size 26/28 and see how the fit works for extended sizes.
As a plus size woman so often sized out of lingerie options, I appreciate Terry’s approach to Inspire Psyche Terry. I hope we can count on the brand for innovative pieces shown on a diverse range body types. I know I’ll be tuned in to the site for their official March 1 release and any upcoming campaigns. What pieces are you loving from the new line Inspire Psyche Terry? What pieces do you hope to see from Inspire Psyche Terry?
