Ever bought a cute piece of lingerie for a special occasion only to find yourself with your breasts falling out the bottom, top, and sides? Yeah, me too. What’s a full busted girl supposed to do for a special occasion or a fun night in?
While the full busted bra market is growing rapidly, markets for full busted items like special occasion lingerie and sports bras aren’t quite keeping up. Luckily, several brands and retailers are leading the charge and carrying some items that are supportive and sexy.
Maggie Babydoll with Underwire by Elomi:
The plunge neckline and details on the bustline make this new babydoll from Elomi into the little black dress of full busted lingerie. It’s a supportive basic while still retaining a classic and flattering look. I love that Elomi is offering fuller briefs as the matching option — some of us still aren’t sure how we feel about sheer lingerie with thongs underneath. This babydoll comes in band sizes 36 though 42 and in cup sizes FF through GG.
Bijte is an independent designer out of New York City who is making classic lingerie pieces for full busted women. Her pieces are made out of stretch silk and stretch lace. I love her classic European look, which is different from anything else on the full bust market right now. Her pieces work for up to a J cup currently, and she offers everything from this unique bustier cami to more traditional babydolls. I own this set and wear it every chance I get. Support is created magically through adjustable straps and cinched ties that manipulate supportive hidden ruching. It sounds crazy, but it really works.
I’m a sucker for any kind of lingerie with polka dots, so this new babydoll from Parfait by Affinitas immediately got my attention. I love the added garter straps and eye catching embroidered details. This babydoll comes in band sizes 30 through 40 and cup sizes E through G, which means that it works for a wide number of women.
I just had one of the best international shopping experiences of my life with Bravissimo, so now I’m looking for pieces to go back for. This basque is at the top of my list. It’s one of the only basques offered up to a K cup on the market. I preferred the black and teal version from last season, but lots of women are going to find this basic black set to be the answer to their lingerie dreams.
Sometimes you want a less sheer lingerie option, which is where Two Figs Sleepwear comes in. They make a small line of high quality halter top, triangle, and built in support nightgowns. They may look plain, but they all have sexy lace cut out details and drape effortlessly over your curves. They’re practically elegant enough to leave the house in.
This drop dead gorgeous corsetlette from Gossard does retro the right way. It looks lovely in black, sexy yet bridal in white, and I’ve seen that a new red version is coming out as well! Either way, if you’re in Gossard’s size range this piece is worth picking up before it flies off the shelves. This corsetlette comes in 30 through 38 band sizes and D through G cup sizes.
What’s your favorite piece of sexy large cup lingerie? Have you tried any of the pieces on this list?
