- The Daily Mail asks if you despise women who’ve gotten breast implants. This year is the 50th anniversary of the “modern boob job,” and apparently some people take it personally when a woman decides to alter her bust. The conversation demonizing women who have breast implants seems remarkably similar to the conversation that puts down women who are smaller or larger than you’d prefer. And I’ve already stated my opinion on body snark of any kind.
- A Slip of a Girl just wrote the most comprehensive guide to dating vintage lingerie I have ever seen. She covers everything from care labels to fabric content to where it’s made (and so much more besides!) proving why she’s the vintage lingerie expert. You want to bookmark this if you’re a vintage lingerie lover.
- Dita von Teese tells the story of how she became the most famous stripper in America for LA Weekly. I love a good origin story, and Dita’s transformation from an average, mid-Western gal to an icon of fashion, burlesque, and refined sensuality is captivating.
- If you’re looking for bra advice, definitely check out Linda the Bra Lady’s blog. Though this isn’t recent news, as such, it is one of the best online resources for bra-related expertise that I know of. Linda offers incredibly practical advice, from why black bras are a necessity, to what a bra “tacking” really means, to how to tell if your bra is dead. This is another blog to bookmark.

In the very first line of the post, “despite” should be “despise”.
