My boyfriend and I are big foodies so we’re going to be making an extravagant dinner (the more aphrodisiacs the better!) and, lingerie wise, I’ll be wearing my What Katie Did best ;)

My plans are to spend the evening with a few friends, having dinner and watching movies. I am in a long distance relationship, and my friends are single, so we are spending the evening together!

Can’t get the widget to work. :( My valentines plans included taking my husband out to a nice dinner and a burlesque show. Sad I can’t enter. Farr west is one of my faves.

      Hi Summer!

Try re-loading the page and/or enabling javascript. When the blog is getting a lot of traffic (like it is today), sometimes the widgets take a bit longer to load.

A quiet evening at home, as it’s a work night. We’re going to celebrate on the weekend :)

  6. 06/02/12 at 16:24

I’ll be sending cards to a couple of my single lady friends, probably buy myself a bunch of flowers, have a bath by candle light, and then avoid anything likely to make me wallow in my own singleness!

Getting done class at 10:00 pm., then heading out to dinner and back home.

I’m hoping for a nice surprise. Something sweet. I’m doing something for him this year, too.

going out to the club to dance with my sweetheart the night before, then probably spending the day in bed together eating junk food and watching cheesy movies.

  10. 06/02/12 at 17:07

Going out with the girlfriend for dinner, maybe a movie. We’re pretty old school.

  11. 06/02/12 at 17:25

I’m going to make a laser print illustrated card and put it on the nightstand before I leave in the morning, In the evening we’re gonna cook a romantic dinner. Pretty old style…

  12. 06/02/12 at 17:42

My hubby and I have known each other since we met at high school art camp in 1995, but we’re celebrating our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple!

My husband manages a restaurant, but they are breakfast/lunch only so I get him to myself that night. I’ll pick up some nice seafood (whatever is freshest) and some other goodies, and he will cook dinner for me. I’ve gotten him a cute letterpress card from a local artist, but we’re not really springing for gifts because he’s going with me to Las Vegas on the 19th for a work trip!

I’ve got lingerie squirreled away that he hasn’t seen for these occasions too! :)

We are going to a low-key gastropub in the neighborhood to relax. We’ll probably come back and watch Downton Abbey from this past week!

Romantic dinner at home with my longtime boyfriend :-D

  15. 06/02/12 at 18:06

My husband, daughter and I will be going out to eat somewhere (probably churrasco- a Brazilian steakhouse, yum!).

I already follow you on facebook. :)

Oh, and I have to say, I’ve never heard of Far West but was very pleasantly surprised to see their size chart (for once it seems like my measurements actually line up to a size chart!).

  16. 06/02/12 at 18:39

Valentines Day is my birthday! And I plan on having a quaint dinner party then A night on the town

  17. 06/02/12 at 18:43

This Valentine’s I will be spending it with my best friend as we are both boyfriend and dateless! We are going to an open-air showing of ‘Some Like It Hot’ then going for a few cocktails afterwards, who knows we may find love on that night!

  18. 06/02/12 at 18:43

For Valentine’s Day I don’t have plans yet – my fiancé and I are in a long-distance relationship and we won’t see each other again until March. I usually dress up every year for Valentine’s Day, though, so that is what I’ll be doing.

  19. Christine
    06/02/12 at 18:45

I’ll be working, mostly wrapping all those last minute bouquets. I’m totally cool with working Valentine’s Day, but you’d have to pay me double to put up with working Mother’s Day. The Valentine’s crowd is all guys who know the routine, so they’re patient. On the other hand, Mother’s Day makes everyone high strung and in a rush.

  20. 06/02/12 at 18:48

My guy will be out of town for work, unfortunately, so no plans. Maybe a girl’s night out with my single ladies, and hopefully something pre-V Day with the boy.

    06/02/12 at 18:50

My longtime boyfriend and I are heading out to our annual Valentine’s dinner spot then to a movie. This year? The Woman in Black. We try to stay away from typical Valentine’s day movies that day! As far as lingerie? It’s a work night, so that will happen over the weekend. :)

  22. 06/02/12 at 18:55

Me and the better half are in a long distance sort of arrangement, so I won’t be trekking half way across London in a panda suit to surprise him at work this year..

We’re not really into Valentine’s Day to be honest, Our anniversary is today [the 6th], so we just plan on going out for a happy hour at a Brazillian bar, having a dance and retiring to a bedroom… All on the weekend after VDay, as that’s when I can get up to see him…

    06/02/12 at 18:57

I’m going to spend my Valentine’s Day cuddling with my roommate as her stand-in boyfriend, because her actual one is working, and because I’m recently single.
I’m actually really looking forward to it! :)

This year, I’ll be spending Valentine’s day away from my dh. :( My parents need some help on the other side of the country, so my dh and I will have to celebrate later in the month.

  25. 06/02/12 at 18:59

We don’t plan anything big :) Just to stay a bit more together. Go out for dinner and have fun. :)

I’ll probably spend Valentine’s Day enjoying the unseasonably warm weather and wishing a close relative “Happy Birthday!” Not too shabby, I don’t think.

  34. 06/02/12 at 19:25

This will be the first Valentine’s Day my current boyfriend and I have spent together.
We are getting together the Sunday before Valentine’s Day since he lives an hour away will be super busy with school on the actual day. He is planning on taking me out for to a sushi restaurant that he enjoys and I will give him a shirt I found on Etsy that I know he will love. After that, we’re going to head to my friend’s house to watch movies, cuddle and just enjoy each other’s company. However, we do plan on skyping on February 14th as well.

  45. 06/02/12 at 20:15

My boyfriend set a reminder for himself for a few days before vday, so I think he has something in mind/planned….lol I am scared and excited at the same time. I would really love to see Titanic in 3D, since I have a Leo obsessions and I love the movie in general

Unfortunately, I am out of town so our Valentine’s Day date will be via Facetime.

  48. 06/02/12 at 20:31

My darling and I have been together almost six years. Every Valentines Day we buy each other a gift–but–anytime we buy each other presents, we get too excited and open them super early (this happens during birthdays and holidays too). So, we’ve already opened our gifts (we just can’t keep secrets, not even about presents). On Valentines Day we’re reserving a table at one of our favorite restaurants in the area and having a formal dinner, afterwards we’ll cozy up together at home.

  49. 06/02/12 at 20:31

My Valentine’s Day plans involve indulgent cheese platters, chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne with my best girlfriend. While we may not have men in our life, Valentine’s Day gives us an opportunity to enjoy the more luxurious aspects of life and revel in the fact that we are happy without men in our lives, too.

This year I’ve decided to be my own Valentine! I’m going all-out to make myself feel wonderful by treating myself to some new lingerie, getting a mani-pedi, going to yoga and having a nice dinner with a bottle of wine and a good book. :D

  51. Joseph
    06/02/12 at 20:37

  56. Annmarie
    06/02/12 at 21:52

Not dating any one right now, but started befriending the new neighbor. Though we like each other I’m not sure we are romance material. Nevertheless, I will invite her to do some tacky “Orphanage Valentine” activity which at this point I have no idea what that will be. Hope we can figure that out in a week, and promise to keep you posted if it ever materialize.

Grey’s Anatomy and chocolate- not my ideal V Day, but I can’t complain!

  66. 07/02/12 at 2:25

Since I’ve got loads of exams coming up, I’ll be studying this day. But Valentine’s Day isn’t such a great deal in Austria as it is in the US or UK, so I’m OK with it.

My husband is taking me to Gala Nocturna, a neo-Romantic ball in Antwerp, Belgium. This shall entail dancing, absynthe cocktails and spending time with my beloved <3

  71. 07/02/12 at 3:37

My plans are just to go out with a girl friend of mine who is also single – we’re going on a friend date! And then we’re going to eat some chocolate she brought back from Switzerland and watch a movie. Who says Valentine’s Day has to be sad if you’re single?

  72. Juz
    07/02/12 at 4:18

I can’t get the app to work for leaving a comment, but my Valentine’s Day plans involve treating myself to some indulgent time in the shower (lots of lavender scented stuff); I’ll frollick arounnd my home in fancy underwear, cook a wonderful meal for myself and lash out with a glass or two of sparkling wine. I don’t need anyone else to affirm my sexiness; I’m fully capable of embracing my own sexy personality and having a glorious time in my own company. A partner can join me one day, but for now, I’m not going to waste my own precious time pining for an ideal. I think I’m pretty fabulous as I am.

  74. 07/02/12 at 5:24

It’s a working day for me so i will spend the greater part of the day working, then i have a date with myself in the evening: Going to make a fancy dinner, drink lots of red wine, while watching the movie Burlesque…. As a single lady, i plan on celebrating myself :)

  76. 07/02/12 at 6:18

Me and my Fiance got engaged a couple of weeks ago so we are still very high on that! The kids are off for half term so we will probably just order a pizza and huggle up on the sofa together!

  77. 07/02/12 at 6:46

As I don’t have a boyfriend to celebrate this romantic day with, I’m just going to celebrate it with me, myself, and I! But that doesn’t meant there won’t be room for chocolates and champagne anyway… :) xox

My boyfriend and I are planning on going out for sushi at one of our favorite spots. Last year, we didn’t have reservations and the place was so packed, we ended up ordering take out and eating it in the car, while it poured outside. This year, I’ve already taken the initiative to book a table over a month in advance! :)

Unfortunately, Valentine’s Day falls in the middle of the week this year and its sandwiched in between a birthday for our youngest and leaving for a family trip. That being said, I started early – flowers arrive at her desk on Thursday of this week (so other can be jealous) and (because I’m the cook in the house), her favorite dishes Friday night with a nice piece of jewelry for her on V day.

She would love one of these slips and would look fantastic in it!

    Thanks

  84. 07/02/12 at 8:12

Texting my boyfriend whenever wherever. We’re living 3 hours apart but that isn’t stopping us. I could always choose to play Mass Effect 3 instead but… my boyface comes first :P

I do not have plans to celebrate Valentines day. In fact, I REFUSE to celebrate it!! I expect love and affection from my partner 366 days a year! (It is a leap year you know!). Also, my birthday is a week later and I’d rather have something extra special then.

For Valentine’s Day, we don’t have anything in stone, but I’m guessing it’ll have something to do with baking triple chocolate cupcakes (his favorite), going out for coffee, & settling in for some Star Trek (The Next Generation, of course) and cuddling. Typical awesome day, really.

My lover called and said, “you get no flowers or candy this year. You just get me. Adoring you.” So I really have no idea what is up his sleeve…

My BFF and I will be cooking dinner for our boy toys this V-day! Lowkey and at home!

  106. 07/02/12 at 13:48

Instead of participating in the capitalistic frenzy of Valentine’s Day (when the amount you spend and what you buy determines how much you care for someone), my friends and I are celebrating Palentine’s Day – a day for appreciating how friendship is itself an amazing and special kind of love that deserves recognition! So we’re having a cookie decorating party!

  107. 07/02/12 at 14:18

I have the best plans this year! For one I actually have plans and 2 I am spending it with my 2 best friends :-) Being treated to dinner, and a carvery at that! NOM! I cannot wait! :D

  108. 07/02/12 at 14:30

Um, I shall be visiting my breast care nurse at the local hospital to get a new lump in my breast checked out :(

On Valentine’s Day I’ll be moving house. Again. For the third time in 6 months (husband’s job). With an infant and a three-year-old. Do I feel sorry for myself? Yes. Would this slip make everything better? YES!

Good contest to enter as it reminded me to make plans for dinner. The next week we are heading to Orlando so a new slip would work well when we go to dinner on that trip.

I’m single this year, so I’m going to take myself out for dinner and a movie, and then buy a bottle of wine to drink. Maybe take a bath (I love baths) and then gift myself with a present of lingerie by Playful Promises. I don’t think I could make it more perfect if I tried!

Also, this is a beautiful slip. Thanks for all these giveaways!

I’ll make some pretty cupcakes for us to enjoy when we’re home for dessert and hopefully the boys won’t hear us or bother us as we spend a little we time alone.

Then on wednesday we’re going to a relaxed pub round the corner that does great food, then both reading at a poetry event and getting drunk with friends! Probably round the evening off by showing off some pretty new panties :)

Valentine’s day plans were no different than any other weekday, work, help kids w/homework, dinner, put kids to bed, followed by adult time with husband. I was planning to take husband on a date this coming Saturday buuut he informed today that he’s been scheduled to work. :/

Oh btw, I already follow you on twitter, fb, tumblr & pinterest. Yep, I’m addicted to all things Lingerie Addict.
Keep up the awesome job, Treacle. Because of you & the pretty little gems I find via your many outlets, husband is quite happy when we do have adult time and I’m happy every sexy day. =)

Me and my boyfriend are going to go on a super fancy dinner-date (because we havent had the chance to really live it up restaurant wise yet) and make some chocolate covered strawberries.) As for Lingerie, i dont really have any fancy stuff yet, but a nice matching set of undies/bra is certainly on the list.
