Sneak Peek: Current Lingerie & Fashion Trends

By: Kristina

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of sneaking a peek at some new collections from a select group of lingerie companies. From every day basics, to functional shapewear, to luxury fashion – it was a fabulous feast for the eyes!

With the holidays quickly approaching I have selected a few styles that may end up on my personal Christmas list this year (for those who are taking notes – hint, hint). Here are a few unforgettable pieces which I’m hoping to find wrapped up under my tree.

Brulee
Luxury lingerie label Brulee has been enchanting us with their hand crafted delicates since 2009 and the newest collections are nothing short of indulgent.

The Vamp Collection is one of my favorites – fine silk and chiffon are combined in a playful and sexy mix of soft cup bras & flirty sleepwear. I am personally loving the black and white chevron striped chemise and the soft cup bras in fuschia.

And I can’t forget the Boudoir Collection which is equally tantalizing, utilizing classic colors and smart details such as covered buttons & drawstrings. This group feels a little more classic and retro inspired but still with that flirty touch.

Second Base
Camisole company Second Base may quickly become my new problem solver for low cut tops and dresses! The lightweight cropped camis come in an array of colors so you never have to worry about showing too much cleavage again. Wear these layering pieces on top of your favorite bra and it becomes a new way to accessorize your wardrobe.

The Day pieces are simple and can add a pop of color to any outfit. This quick fix is perfect for transitioning otherwise risque tops to be work appropriate at the office.

The Night pieces are fun & fashionable and can add some embellishment to basic sexy styles while also offering a little more modesty – perfect for all-nighters on the dance floor!

Lola Haze
Our very own TLA writer has pulled out the stops with her newest collection incorporating new fabrics and fun details. While these playful pieces are labeled as loungewear, you can easily see that most can also be worn outside of the bedroom, layered or accessorized for a night out on the town.

The Ritz collection is a smart and sexy pairing of shimmering mesh and gold hardware. The pieces manage to look lavish and edgy at the same time and the strategically placed strappy details sex it up in all the right places.

On the contrary the Daisy collection is much sweeter and whimsical in flowing, pastel chiffon. The ruffle details are sweet while the sheer fabric still offers that bit of naughtiness synonymous with the Lola Haze brand.

Va Bien
Expert foundation company Va Bien has been fitting every day women with solution driven underclothes for decades. With a popular celebrity following and years of experience they continue leading the way in the shapewear and foundation industry.

One of their top innovative collections is the Ultra Lift bra available up to an I cup and 46 band size. The new Ultra Lift technology uses “magic fingers” which are sandwiched between 2 layers of foam to act as a soft & flexible uplifting mold. This ensures not only the lift and support needed for a fuller busted woman, but also is sure to stay put and offer hours of non-obtrusive comfort. Simply genius!

But Va Bien’s major claim to fame has got to be their stellar shapewear. In addition to high functioning and comfort driven collections which they excel at, there is also a Vintage collection which has quickly become my favorite. While I love the pin-up quality and fashion details, it’s the functionality of the fabrics & construction that makes these pieces really stand out.

Whether you’re naughty or nice this year I think we all deserve a luxurious treat from time to time. And this holiday season is the perfect time to indulge. What’s on your list?
