Important Lingerie Addict News: Please Read!

If you’re one of the awesome people keeping up with my Facebook or Twitter, you already know this news. Every blogger’s nightmare just came true for me last week… my laptop stopped working. No warning, no preface, just bang! And now my screen doesn’t light up anymore.

I’m trying to look on the bright side… the actual computer is still okay, and parts like screens are replaceable, but still… with BlogHer and CurveNY literally right around the corner, this couldn’t have come at a worse time. The whole thing has me pretty bummed out.

My laptop is in the shop as I write this (The Boyfriend is letting me type on his computer), and I’m optimistic for some good news, but at this point I just don’t know. I may be shopping for a brand new laptop later on this week.

The point (and how it affects you) is that I’ll be a little less active than usual for the next few days. There won’t be many new blog posts, Twitter replies, or Facebook status updates until I can get up and running again. And that’s honestly what sucks most of all… missing out on my conversations with you.

Any news (lingerie related or otherwise) will probably appear on my Facebook or Twitter before it gets on the blog, so go ahead and follow me if you’re not already. Several people are posting photos and starting discussions on the Facebook page, so feel free to join in on the activity (or create some of your own!) over there too.

In the meantime, I’m working hard on getting all this resolved, and I’ll be back as soon as possible. Promise.  :)

I'm having something of the same problem at the moment, except the tech thinks the problem is in the motherboard. And the laptop is an older model (Dell Inspiron 8200).

p.s.- in the current state, the photo is not melodramatic in the least ; )

How you've been able to do so much on just a laptop is amazing in itself. And for anyone who's never gone though computer withdrawal – say, when your laptop or hard drive dies – you don't know the trauma. Good luck, and Yay for the boyfriend helping out.

Ugh… Treacle, that royally sucks. I feel your pain, I have been through the whole glitching laptop thing far too many times.

Hope it is a relatively easy and cheap fix for you.

Sorry to hear about your laptop woes. The good news is that if your laptop is still working, and it's just the screen, it shouldn't be too bad. It's likely the power inverter, or backlight. Either one should be under $100 for the repair. If not, you're getting ripped off. Hopefully you'll be back up and running (and sharing with us) soon!
