Look for Less: Rock & Republic Strapless Bodysuit

To the left, we have the Rock & Republic Jony bodysuit, which originally retailed for $138 at Saks 5th Avenue (though it’s now on sale for $54.99).

To the right, we have the Grenier strapless bodysuit retailing for $36.00 at Brabarella.  I can’t see much of a difference between the two. Can you?

In other news, I need satin elbow-length gloves, oh yes I do.

You are right, there is as far as I can see no difference between the two. Both are lovely though.

Thanks for leaving a comment on my last post, I hope Perricone hasnt pulled fast one on us, I have noticed some other bloggers who also did the Perricone thing, but I can only remember Keith of Sugar and Spice blog and he says his winner has also not yet received her prize and him not his tub for displaying their URL in his link list.
You are right, it does leave a bad taste, I have already told someone else that I am not game for their promotion.

Thanks for your input, really appreciate it.

    Hope you are ok!
    Colin.

Maybe the difference is in the construction? Or maybe not!?

@Nina, you just need the right lingerie!

As for the bodysuits, the R&R has a built-in bra, heart shaped neckline and the material isn't as sheer so you could wear it as outerwear. The Grenier is drop dead sexy and can handle a larger cup.

    p.s. get the gloves!

The one on the right is a bit sheer, but other than that they both look the same to me! very very sexy though!!

Great piece that would be a wonderful staple in any wardrobe. To me it looks like the RR is a heavier fabric and something I'd be more likely to wear out and about under a jacket. With the price reduction, it seems like a good buy!

    Stay stylish dear!

I'm not sure why, but I like the Rock & Republic piece more – it has a touch of Old Hollywood glamour to it which I adore!! :)

I can't see any difference between them either, so I would totally pick the cheaper one, even though I'm usually a snob and would go for the high brand ones!

If I ever decide to start going out in full drag again I really should get some new opera gloves. Even well done Lee press on nails don't make my hands looks feminine enough. The black gloves being worn by the model in the Grenier strapless bodysuit look nice. The red opera gloves I was wearing in the photo in my post on Lady Gaga, Pink and Madonna. are too tight and don't coordinate that well with some outfits. I doubt I'll ever wear a bodysuit though. I would definitely wind up wearing additional lingerie underneath a body suit and wearing either one would require an additional purchase. I would need new falsies ( I could use some anyway, but was looking at the lifelike silicone ones) that I was sure wouldn't show in order to wear Rock & Republic Jony bodysuit. That could definitely be worn as outerwear. I would probably need a strapless bra to go with the Grenier, which I do like the sheer look of. I still prefer panties and stockings. The gloves are definitely attention getters.

I love bodysuits, but I'm always afraid of strapless ones…I'm afraid I'll make one false move and them, say hello to my boobs!

But I may reconsider after seeing these beautiful ones…maybe I'll try hard and not make any sudden movements!
