Review: Levante Diamond Tulle Tights

A few days ago, I posted photos of some items I’ve recently bought and extended an invitation for you all to ask me for a review of any of them. Two readers responded. Pink Nylon asked for a review of the Levante diamond tulle tights while MaidDiane wanted my perspective on the Rago girdle panty. I’ve since worn both items, and am back to report my findings. Let’s start with the Levante tights…

The Levante diamond tulle tights are composed of 83% nylon, 15% spandex, and 2% cotton. They’re available in three sizes: small, tall, and extra tall fitting a maximum hip size of 42-48″ according to the packaging. The tights are only available in one color–black–and have the appearance of a pair of medium-net fishnets worn over sheer pantyhose. The pattern extends all the way to the waist, but stops just above the toes (ending in a sheer toe). I ordered these in a size extra tall from StockingsHQ during one of their 50% off clearance sales.

First of all, these tights look great. The fishnet effect is chic, and I think this pattern could work just as well for a day in the office as a night on the town. They also feel amazing; I found myself running my hands down my legs more than once just to enjoy the raised texture of the fishnet pattern. Despite these positives, however, I would not recommend these tights because stylish design does not compensate for poor construction.

At 5’8″ and 145 lbs., I am well within the parameters for the size I ordered, yet the fit through hips and rear was overly snug. Even worse, the waistband tore away from the legs on the very first wearing. No matter how much I want to like these tights, those kinds of faults simply cannot be overlooked.

Oh, that's too bad! I really wanted to get these too.

    Thanks for the review, anyway!
