James Lillis, of Black Milk Clothing, needs your help! You see, he lives in Brisbane, and, in a new bid to become a leading fashion capital, the city is holding a contest for local labels. The prize? A shop in the middle of the city rent free for six months.
You don’t have to be a businessperson or a fashion designer to know what a huge deal this is. Please support James by voting for his shop here.
While we’re on the subject of leggings, I wonder what my dear blogging friend, Lisa of Stocking Vixen thinks of these? The ribbons remind me of those delightful ballet lace socks she posted about several months ago.

A) People need to help James out. If anyone deserves that space, it's him and thanks for the heads up. I'll blog about that, too.
B) Sigh…those leggings. They remind me of the ribbon socks in a few ways. #1 Very, very cute and lust-inducing, #2 WAAAY over-priced for what they are which is basically a pair of hemmed opaque tights or hotpants with some cotton ribbon sew on the sides. They want $74 for them. Crazy talk! This kind of stuff ticks me way the heck off, especially when you could choose from some very cool styles of James Lillis leggings which are hand-sewn by HIM for $50, plus buy a couple of pairs of Hue lace-down capris http://www.hue.com/legwear/tights/opaque-tight-.aspx for a grand total of $74. I've seen the Hue's in real life and they're really cute.
If the 80's Purple ones go on sale though, I'd definitely think of getting some. They are super-cute.
Thanks for offering about the Brisbane contest on your blog, too. I'm sure James'll be chuffed to hear it.
And thanks for the link to the HUE lace up leggings. At only $12, they are overwhelmingly the better deal.
