Courtesy of KumiMonster, I’ve managed to satisfy my craving for Alexander Skarsgård, Lady Gaga, and luxe lingerie at the same time. It’s all there in Lady G’s latest video, Paparazzi.
It only happens twice a year…Wolford Boutique London just put all their Trend & Pattern hosiery from the previous season on sale at 50% off. Wolford’s reputation in the hosiery industry is unmatched. The sale represents not only an opportunity to buy some quality hosiery at an excellent price, but also to purchase a limited edition piece before it’s retired permanently.

Stocking Vixen teasingly referred to me as Yoda on her latest blog entry after I was able to positively identify the Wolford Paloma tights. I laughed, but now I’m starting to wonder if there’s some truth to that. I can hardly look at photo of lingerie anymore without trying to identify what the model has on.
Case in point, I was visiting Violet Blue’s official website, Tiny Nibbles, and saw the following photo. Do you recognize what Darenzia and Mz. Berlin are wearing? I’ll give you a second to think about it.
Darenzia, the dark haired woman sitting on the windowsill, is très chic in the Kimiyo bodysuit from Agent Provocateur and Mz. Berlin is très sexy in a longline bra and briefs from the Kiss Me Deadly Van Mimi collection. I must admit, the name “Stockings Addict” is beginning to feel more and more appropriate…
P.S. If you need a little more A.P. bodysuit goodness, why not check out this blog post showing how much celebrities love the Iona leopard print body. I’ve posted about the item before, but nothing quite compares to seeing it on Lily Allen.
In the fourth and final installment of my Runway to Realway series, we’ll take a look at the super-chic floral trend. Now, I’m not much of a girly-girl, and you’ll never catch me wearing flowers from head to toe. However, like the other trends I’ve discussed here, I do believe the floral look is workable if it’s confined to only one area–like your legs. So where can you look for these?
Modcloth, a new discovery that I am already in love with, stocks floral tights in an attractive rose-on-black design.
Urban Outfitters also carries floral tights in several different color schemes, sometimes on sale.
So now matter where you are, or how you want to work this trend, you’re covered. Happy shopping!
I’m just getting back from my very first Seattle Pride Festival, and I’m so stoked! It makes me feel incredible when thousands of people get together to peacefully celebrate love, life, and happiness. The parade was pretty long, at about 2.5 hours, but the energy was high the entire time. I believe I’m still a little glowy. :-)
If you want to get your pride on, why not take a look at the “Rainbow” section over on Sock Dreams? I think I may invest in some rainbow striped over-the-knee socks for next year’s parade.
One quick post before I get all dressed up for Seattle Pride…
The very talented SugarKitty of SugarKitty Corsets has just listed two sample corsets for sale on her website. Unlike most of the corsetieres I post on my blog, I can personally attest to the quality of SugarKitty’s work as I own two of her custom made pieces.
The first corset, named “Miss Rose” is priced at $175.00 and has closed measurements of 34.5-22.5-34″. The second, named “Penelope” is priced at $137.50 and has closed measurements of 32-24.5-39″.
Though I’ve cut back dramatically on my lingerie purchases in the past year, I still can’t resist a pretty girdle or a sharp pair of tights…especially if they’re on sale.
When big companies, like Figleaves, run a sale, there tends to be a “trickle-down” effect. Other (often smaller or less well known) companies will also dramatically reduce their prices just to keep up. It goes without saying this is great for credit-crunched consumers. Below, I’ve listed a few items that have been recently marked down.
The item in question is a vintage Lady Marlene corselette (though it’s listed as open bottom girdle), size 34C, black, six garters, sheer lace cups and midriff.
As of right now, the highest bid is only $11.50, definitely making this a piece worth keeping an eye on.
