In the fourth and final installment of my Runway to Realway series, we’ll take a look at the super-chic floral trend. Now, I’m not much of a girly-girl, and you’ll never catch me wearing flowers from head to toe. However, like the other trends I’ve discussed here, I do believe the floral look is workable if it’s confined to only one area–like your legs. So where can you look for […]

I’m just getting back from my very first Seattle Pride Festival, and I’m so stoked! It makes me feel incredible when thousands of people get together to peacefully celebrate love, life, and happiness. The parade was pretty long, at about 2.5 hours, but the energy was high the entire time. I believe I’m still a little glowy. :-) If you want to get your pride on, why not take a […]

Both Figleaves US and Figleaves UK are running heavily hyped sales right now. Most of their items are only 20% off (which doesn’t even count as a sale in my book), but I don’t really see any standout pieces…except for these Levante Amore Tights. A backseam, a reinforced foot, and heart & bow details at the ankle? I swoon…

Important Update: Just received confirmation from S.P.A.N.K. that the sale does not apply to customers living in the U.S.A. Edit: Someone asked for specifics on the legal troubles, and it turns out there’s some naming conflict between S.P.A.N.K. and the U.S. shapewear brand Spanx. This would also explain why they cannot currently ship any items with the old logo to North America. Thanks to La Magia and Knickers Blog for […]

Stripes are also a perennial favorite with hosiery designers and retailers. Jonathan Aston, one of my first stops for up to the minute […]

In the second installment of my “Runway to Realway” series, we’re looking at another fashion trend: Black & White. While this kind of stark contrast can be a bit overwhelming as a head-to-toe look, I believe confining this trend to your legs makes it infinitely more wearable (not to mention, affordable!). In terms of hosiery designers, Emilio Cavallini really took this trend and ran with it. Both MyTights and Asos […]

I love a good sale as much as the next lingerie diva, but one of the things I really enjoy doing here with Stockings Addict is connecting runway looks to lingerie. After all, it’s a lot easier to change your stockings than to change your entire wardrobe. I did little of this last year with an article on Tartan, but I want to take it to the next level this […]

I am long overdue for some reviews, so today we’re playing catch up. In this article, I’m talking about the Charnos Hourglass girdle panty, the Cervin Capri 15 denier RHTs, and the ASOS star tights. Let me get the bad news out of the way first… The Charnos Hourglass girdle panty was a severe disappointment. First, the panty runs about a size to a size and a half too small. […]
