While browsing Vanity Fair magazine’s website, I stumbled upon a photoset titled “The Vanities Girls.”
Since 1992, the Vanities section has been used to showcase a “promising young star.” In September 2006, Vanity Fair re-vamped the format and began shooting the up and coming young actresses in pin-up style.
I’m sure you can appreciate this change as much as I do.

Gil Elvgren the Norman Rockwell of pin-up art inspired photoshoot of ladies in Vanity Fair magazine…….
I agree. The photos look very similar to Mr. Elvgren’s style.
They are beautiful dresses. I love the blue check halter-neck and the green one. It would be great to wear such pretty clothes.
ahhh I love these! I don’t ever read VF so I had no idea. Although I’ve seen that Mila Kunis picture somewhere else….Playboy maybe? Hmmmm. I can’t remember where. But I remember thinking how cool it was that she did a pinup-esque shoot. No idea it was a standard VF thing!!
To Kelly:
Vanity Fair has come out with killer fashion spreads lately, and when they incidentally include lingerie (as in Gisele Bundchen’s photoshoot last month), the results are amazing.
To Miss AJ:
I’m not sure if they ship abroad, but I use Trashy Diva for all my vintage inspired clothing. They really get the silhouettes right.
